Whenever leaves start to crunch under my feet, and I catch a whiff of wood smoke in the wind, five- hour beef stew makes its appearance!
This has been a tradition since I was a little girl, I loved when my mom made it! It is one of those recipes I have committed to memory and can just whip up. Not to mention it is extremely simple , and not a ton of ingredients, but packs a big punch to the taste buds!
Five hour beef stew is a great set it and forget it crock pot meal, perfect for a busy mama with a big family to feed! It is also a fantastic meal to let “little hands” help with because it’s mostly dumping and mixing in one pot.
