This is by far THE BEST Mac N Cheese recipe I have EVER made! I use this as my go- to recipe on crisp fall nights or blustery winter dinners. It is also an amazing ministry meal that delivers well! The recipe originates from my late Uncle Benny.
The best part is it is only 5 ingredients and so simple to make! You can whip this baby together and serve it up super quick! If you have a large family or older children I would suggest doubling the recipe. My 4 kiddos ages 9 and under demolished a whole pan of this last week. Their daddy came home from his bible study to NO MAC N CHEESE TO BE FOUND! Needless to say he was not very happy.
Combine the flour and butter to make a paste. Then add 5 cups of milk.
Shred your cheese, I prefer Cooper Sharp ( but I do believe that might be only available here locally in Lancaster County, Pa. I may be wrong) If you are local, hit up The Country Store , Hilltop Farm Market or Roots on Tuesdays.
Mix milk/butter and flour with your shredded cheese. Keep stirring until cheese is melted.
Combine all ingredients in a pan. Cover with foil and bake @350 for 1 hour
Serve and Enjoy!
